Russellville was known for decades as a place to come for a variety of downtown small businesses with great shops for browsing and buying. Much of that had disappeared until recently.
Now several entrepreneurs have put together boutiques, dining spots, flower shops, and a couple of larger shopping areas, all within easy walking distance of each other.
From the corner of South Main and East Ffith Street. The Flying Pig Coffee Shop, Fifth Street Finds, 219 Main Marketplace, The Robyn’s Nest, Livvy Mae Boutique and the Shoppe on the Square are just about in sight of each other.
Oak’n Ivy Florist is just a block away to the west, and Ruth Ellen’s Flowers is about three blocks to the east. Wok This Way will have its food truck open between The Flying Pig and and Fifth Street Finds.
All nine of these businesses are combining Friday and Saturday for Russellville Downtown Sip & Shop.
Friday, June 18, hours are from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday hours str 9 a.m.=3 p.m.
There will be discounts, prizes, live music and a can food drive. Swag bags will be given to the first 100 shoppers each day.

Join us for Downtown Russellville’s Summer Sip & Shop! Experience the beautiful historic downtown shops, and meet the owners. Happen by a live music performer, the WOK This Way food truck, special guest vendors, and giveaways! Be sure to check out the specials shops will have!
WHERE TO GO:
Stroll down South Main and stop by Shoppe on the Square, followed by The Robyn’s Nest and Livvy Mae Boutiques. Your next stop will find you at the Flying Pig Coffee Shop, where you’ll find a signature brew just for the event! Take a quick turn up 5th street to see Oak ‘n Ivy (regular business hours) and back down and across the street to 219 Main Marketplace! Continue back, and around the corner to Fifth Street Finds. A quick stroll over to Breathitt Street, and you’ll arrive at Ruth Ellen’s floral and gifts!

Haley Jayne of Oak ‘n Ivy: Come check out “Sip & Shop” this weekend! Oak ‘n Ivy will be having all our flags and grapevine topiaries 20% off this Friday and Saturday!
Nicholas Scarbrough of Fifth Street Finds says most of those with booths in the large area are offering 10 percent discounts on their merchandise and are participating in the giveaways.
Robyn Woodward of The Robyn’s Nest Boutiques says: Tomorrow and Saturday we are participating in Downtown Shop Local Sip & Shop.
We are opening at 10 a.m. but several others will start at 9 or have their regular store hours.
At our store we have an entire floor of 50% off.
With a store purchase, you will be able to enter for a huge Grand prize that I will post details on later.
We are also have in store giveways if uou make a purchase you will be able to enter.
We also special V.I.P swag bags for the first 30 of our customers each day (one V.I.P swag bag per customer for event).
