The local Stuff the Bus fundraising activities continue today with a live broadcast on WRUS from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It will originate from the Priceless IGA in the Logan Square shopping center in Russellville with Chris McGinnis leading the broadcast with help from store manager Kim Nolan.

WRUS and IGA have played a big role in raising money and securing items for students to use in the Russellville and Logan County Schools.

Priceless IGA is owned by Houchens.  The Houchens Industries Summer of Giving continues through next week. At over 20 participating stores throughout Southern Kentucky, customers can purchase Stuff the Bus mobiles of any dollar amount. Everything raised stays in the community it was donated, so donors have a direct impact on their community. At the end of the promotion, Stuff the Bus gives 100 percent of the donations directly to the local FRYSCs. 

Both local school systems have announced recently that school supplies are being provided free for all or many of the students at their schools. Stuff the Bus has played a big role in that being possible.

Bowling Green radio personality Tony Rose founded Stuff the Bus. He is a graduate of Logan County High School. Three Russellville High School graduates join him on the regional Stuff the Bus Foundation Board. They are Annie (Ann Linton) Smith-Sydnor of SKYCTC, Chad Hunt of the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and McGinnis.

Broadcasts on WRUS from the Priceless IGA Friday, July 23, from 3-5 p.m. and Saturday, July 31, from the same location. Donations can be made at the store at any time.
