Kaneshi Hart, a Class of 2000 Logan County High School graduate, will be the speaker for the Russellville-Logan County NAACP 35th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. at Logan County High School.

She is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in Business Administration and Finance. Currently she serves as an area manager with Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina. She is the daughter of Raymond and Katherine Hart of Russellville.

Her topic for the banquet speech will be “Still Struggling with the Change,”

A national NAACP scholarship recipient, Kaneshi is excited about the Scholarship Recipient Reunion that will also be celebrated during the banquet. The Russellville-Logan County NAACP began providing scholarships to students of Logan County—based on academics and financial need—in 1980 and continues to do so annually. To celebrate this educational endeavor, past and present scholarship recipients have been invited to reunite at this year’s banquet.

Families, friends and the public are invited to this celebration and welcoming of our former students. A donation is required.
