Crrittenden Drive hosting free parenting seminar this weekend

A free, two-day Parenting Seminar is being offered this weekend by Crittenden Drive Church of Christ. One session will be held Friday and multiple sessions on Saturday.

Leading the discussions will be Adam and Leah Faughn. He is the minister for the Central Church of Christ in Paducah. He holds two degrees from Freed Hardeman University and has preached full-time for congregations in Nashville and Alabama as well as Kentucky.

Friday at 7 p.m. is entitled “Have a Peaceful Family by Friday (or At Least Before Jesus Returns),”

Then at 8, the breakout session will be “Things I Want My Children to Know Before They Leave Home.”

Saturday’s 9 a.m. combined session is entitled “Building a Christian Home.”

The 10 a.m. breakout topics will be for men “How Providing Leads to Peace” and for women “How Nurturing Leads to Peace.” The 11 a.m. sessions are on “Raising a Godly Man” and “Balancing a Busy Life.”

At noon, a free lunch will be provided by the church.

The final session begins at 1 p.m.  It’s for everyone and is entitled “Parenting Against the Cultural Grain.”

Crittenden Drive Church of Christ is just off West Ninth Street in Russellville between Maple Grove Cemetery and Russellville High School.
