Youth Leadership Logan 24-25 holds first session

Sophomores from Logan County and Russellville high schools will spend the next nine months learning about all things Logan County and how they can be leaders in their school and community. T

Thursday, students completed Orientation and heard from Logan County Superintendent Dan Costellow and LEAD President Brooke Waldrup about the importance of being a leader.

The class completed a Disc Assessment with Amy Goodson from Western Kentucky University, learning their personality types and how to collaborate with others. They competed in group activities, including the Human Knot and the Great Tower Challenge.

They ended the day with Brad Rogers discussing what leadership means and understanding the importance of leaders.

“We are excited to see all the things the class will learn this year!” says Chamber Executive Director Polly Steenbergen.
