Once again, the Logan County High School girls and boys soccer teams are planning a “Pink Out” to raise money for cancer research. This year a second event has been added.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, a 5K run and a 1 mile fun run/walk will be held at the LCHS cross country field on the Bowling Green Road side of the athletic fields. Entry information and forms are below.
Then on Thursday, Sept. 19, the Pink Out Game will be held at Cougar Stadium with Coach Dan Duncan’s Lady Cougars playing Owensboro Apollo and Coach Eric Evans’ Cougars taking on district foe Franklin-Simpson.
Several other fun activities are planned. Details are below.
Pink Out activities are coordinated by Laura Jaynes, a former soccer parent and wife of LCHS principal Casey Jaynes.
The events are planned in memory of the late Christie Phillips, a soccer parent who fought gallantly in a long battle with cancer.

The Logan County Soccer Teams would like to invite you a day of fun on the course. Both teams are excited to put on such an event. The sole purpose of this event is to raise money to support the American Cancer Society in their efforts in battling cancer in our community and raising awareness. Bring your family or your friends from work to share in this worthy cause.
Ø All runners will receive a T-shirt.
Ø All entries received by August 28 will qualify for the early entrance fee of $15. Entries received after that date and day-of-race will be charged $20.

There will be a Pink Carnival with games, face painting and prizes. A silent auction and great food! Concessions and games open at 5:00.
