Poole, Simmons awarded Farm Bureau scholarships

Thomas Poole, graduating senior from Logan County High School is the recipient of a $1,000 college scholarship from Kentucky Farm Bureau. Thomas also received a $500 scholarship from the Logan County Farm Bureau Federation for a total of $1,500 to be applied to his future education. He plans to attend Western Kentucky University to receive a degree in Agronomy. Thomas is the son of Teresa Poole and the late Tom Poole.

 Rachel Simmons, graduating senior from Logan County High school also received a $1,000 college scholarship from Kentucky Farm Bureau. She plans to attend Campbellsville  University to receive a degree in Business Administration. Rachel is the daughter of Mildred Simmons and the late Frank Simmons.

Kentucky Farm Bureau awarded 299 college scholarships worth a total of $402,600 this year to deserving students from across the Commonwealth.

Farm Bureau scholarships, offered annually, are awarded to recipients who display the greatest levels of academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership abilities and financial need.
