WKU honors top Logan, RHS students

WKU honored 44 students from six high schools in five southcentral Kentucky counties for their academic achievements recently.

This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 27.96 and grade-point average of 3.93 and included 21 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars.

The following students from Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Logan and Simpson counties were honored at a luncheon Oct. 14 at WKU’s Augenstein Alumni Center.

From Russellville High School were (from left) Superintendent Leon Smith, Counselor Nicole Osborne, Principal Kim McDaniel, Eduardo Rodriguez,Rachel Fisher, Jada Morris, Kelsey Patterson, Derrick Porter, Sarah Williams, Wesley Stratton, and Ransdell.

In the photo below, Butler County’s honor students are shown. At lright, is Superintendent Scott Howard, a former Lewisburg basketball coach.
