On May 21, the very talented students of Stevenson Elementary School, under the direction of Elaine Blythe, presented Disney's The AristoCats KIDS musical before the student body and again that evening in the SES Gym.
This musical is based on the 1970 film, The AristoCats.
The cast consisted of Addison Cundiff as Thomas O'Malley; Jennifer Wilkerson as Duchess; Camden Phillips as Edgar; Emily Stapleton as Toulouse; Dakota Mayhew as Berlioz; Addison Mosier as Marie; Anna Ragland as Roquefort; Gracie Belew as Madame; Katy Riffle as Abigail; Nakia Hardesty as Amelia; Lily Buffa as Scat Cat; Peyton Roberson as Hep Cat; A'miyah Collier as Mad Cat; Candace Baker as Wacky Cat; Malley Jayne as Slick Cat; and Gerrius Santos as Groovy Cat.
They are members of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade SEAL (Students Engaged in Accelerated Learning) music students of Stevenson Elementary School.
Ben Allen served as technical assistant to Mrs. Blythe.
The production featured music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman, Al Rinker, Floyd Huddleston, and Terry Kilkyson and music adapted and arranged by Byran Louiselle, who also provided additional lyrics. The book was adapted and additional lyrics were provided by Michael Bernard. The production was based on the 1970 film The Aristocats.
