Hunt, Howard & Arnold prove to be FFA ASSETs

During the week of June 14-18, Morgan Hunt, Kenton Howard and Abby Arnold attended the ASSET (Agriculture Students Striving for Effective Tomorrows) Conference along with 22 other participants that were accepted.

It was held at Western Kentucky University and throughout the week, students got to stimulate the college life by staying on campus along with learning about WKU agriculture program, speaking with professors, attending workshops, and touring the WKU Farm. In addition, they got to complete various team building and leadership activities such as a ropes course.

On the final day, a luncheon was held with the participants and their parents, Morgan, Kenton, and Abby received the opportunity to be three of the four students selected to speak at the luncheon where they went into detail about their experience and how grateful they were for the opportunity to attend the conference.

Also at the luncheon some students were presented awards for various achievements. Morgan and Kenton received the leadership award.

Morgan, Kenton and Abby described their experience a, "ASSET is a conference that makes you think about your future and what you want to do with your life after high school. It gave us a true touch of college and what all various majors Western has to offer. We were so thankful for the opportunity. It was a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget."
