The 2015 Extreme 3D Fest, which is expected to draw large crowds, begins today at the Russellville-Logan County Airport and runs four days through Sunday. It’s free and open to the public.

Presented by Extreme Flight Radio Control, events will be underway from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. each day.

Among those events are the Friday Night Classic Car Cruise In & Music, Saturday Night Movie & Ice Cream, Flying Under the Lights, Concessions and vendors on site, and more.

Spectators, who are encouraged to bring their own chairs and quits, can watch model planes go “rolling, looping, spinning and hovering” in what has become one of the largest Giant Scale 3D Model Airplane Event. Umbrellas as shields from the sun are also recommended.

Some 100 pilots are expected to showcase their planes.

More information is on the Extreme 3d Fest Facebook page.
