The third annual Lewisburg Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the old skating rink on U.S. 431 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. Approximately 600 people ate at last year’s event.

There is no charge but monetary donations will be accepted.

Also donations of food such as turkey, hams or dressing are encouraged. To do so, contact Susan Porter (270-772-4505), Kara Saye (850-390-3013) or Elly Saye (270-657-2186). You can also visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/communityblessings or email communityblessings@yahoo.com.

Porter says, “For anyone who is wanting to donate for the community Thanksgiving dinner we will need turkeys, hams, trays of dressing, green beans, corn, Mac and cheese, instant potatoes, and rolls. For drinks we will need bottled waters and gallons of tea. We will also need sweet potato casseroles. Please bring your family and friends and enjoy a wonderful meal!

Organizers are scheduled to appear on WBKO’s “Midday Live” on Nov. 17.
