The Russellville High School Academic Team hosted a successful meet Monday evening, Nov. 9, in the Pennyrile Academic Association.

League standings (which include all 15 teams in the league, not just the three at the local meet) have been released, and five RHS students are listed in the top 10 in their events: Phillip Wilkerson (#1 in JV science); Anna Shoulders (tied for #4 in JV science); Will Mullen (#4 in JV arts & humanities); Ashlee Gilbert (#9 in JV language arts); and Maleah Buckner (tied for #10 in JV language arts).

Two of these students also placed in the overall top 10 in their subject areas (top scores averaged over the three meets so far this season): Wilkerson (#1 in JV science) and Mullen (#5 in JV arts & humanities).
