Chandlers School recently hosted several guest speakers as part of a focus on career readiness.  Students in all grade levels participated in career activities.

In grades five through eight, students participated in a Career Fair.  Students were able to choose sessions with guest speakers from nine different career areas, including cosmetology, education, military, veterinary science, firefighting, utilities, law enforcement, and nursing.

Additionally, Russellville Area Technology students talked with Chandlers students about the career paths they can pursue through the RATC.

Students in younger grades also enjoyed guest speakers in other areas such as emergency medical care, aviation, and education.  Students were excited to hear about the many career opportunities in our area and asked many insightful questions.

Chandlers staff would like to thank our guests:  Mallory Rogers (Delta Airlines), Tyler Scruggs (Russellville Fire Department), Tim Hopkins and Chris Cartas (Logan County EMS), Dr. Kevin Hub (Logan County Schools), Trooper B.J. Eaton (KY State Police), Dorothy Edwards (Salon 583), Carrie Kelley (LCHS), Kevin Bibb (Russellville Police Departmen t), Michelle Whitescarver (Franklin Medical Center), Dr. Christina Galben (Veterinarian), Beth Frouge (RATC), Phil Baker and Natasha Patterson (Logan Telephone).
