On Thursday, June 16, the local chapter of the Kentucky Restaurant Association (KRA), with additional support from Rafferty’s Restaurant, presented the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical college (SKYCTC) Culinary Arts Program $7,000 to provide scholarships for area high school students pursuing culinary arts degrees at SKYCTC, as well as grants to area high school CFS teachers for their classrooms.

State KRA President Stacy Roof presented the check at a press conference held in the Culinary Dining Room at the College’s Main Campus on Loop Drive in Bowling Green. The event took place as part of this year’s SKYCTC Chef Camp.

“This is a great partnership and will afford many high school students the opportunity to attain their dream of becoming a culinary professional,” says Dr. Mike Riggs, Culinary Professor at SKYCTC. “
