The Joy of Art: Observational Drawing   Children love to draw and be creative.  As we grow into adulthood we often loose that creativity and begin to think that we cannot draw or make art.  Drawing is something we can all do and something we can all do better with training and practice.  This course will focus on developing or reconnecting with our creative spirit as we explore observational drawing. Students will learn techniques with graphite pencils, pen and ink, and watercolor pencils while drawing various real life objects. Are you ready to unleash the power of art in your life?  Community Education Director, Penni Nugent, and Mr. Chris Holloman, Russellville Jr/Sr High School Visual Arts Instructor, are partnering together to offer our first Visual Arts Class.  The cost will be $40.00 for 4 weeks!!  Art supplies are included, but you are welcome to bring your own pencils/sketchbook.  Sessions will be held on Mondays, beginning, September 12 2016, and will end October 3, 2016.  Classes will be held at Russellville Jr/Sr High School, in Room 12, from 4 pm—5 pm.  Please call (270) 726-8405, ext. 4331, to register on or before Friday, 9/9/16.  *We must have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 to have the class—so contact us soon!  Penni L.Nugent, CED, penni.nugent@russellville.kyschools.us.
