Four Russellville teachers honored

Four Russellville teachers have been honored recently.

Nicole Pedigo has been selected by her Stevenson Elementary colleagues as "Teacher of the Year" candidate. She will be a nominee for the Logan County Chamber of Commerce "Teacher of the Year" Award.  

Mrs. Pedigo is married to O'Brien Pedigo, and they have two children, Elly and Evan. She is a Russellville High School graduate and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She will graduate with a masters degree as a Literacy Specialist from the University of the Cumberlands in May. This is her fifth year of teaching at SES. 

Also, Superintendent Leon Smith is happy to announce the following teachers have been selected for the 2017 Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching Awards: Elementary – Katherine Cleary; Middle School – Calvin Head; High School – Corey Waters. 

Congratulations to these individuals for their work in the classroom and in the Russellville School District. 

These individuals will have an opportunity to attend an awards program in their honor on Saturday, May 20, at Campbellsville University.
