A double celebration is planned at all four branches of Lewisburg Banking Company Friday afternoon, and the public will get to be a part of it.

Community Bank Month and National Volunteer Day will both be celebrated at the bank’s offices this Friday from 1-3 p.m. Cake and punch will be served.

As part of honoring volunteers, Lewisburg Bank has invited local volunteer fire departments to bring fire trucks to the bank offices for display that afternoon. The public is also being encouraged to “help show support for our local volunteer fire departments.”

On its Facebook page, Lewisburg Banking Company offers the following benefits of Community Banks:

“What Sets Community Banks Apart?

Relationship Banking: Community bank officers know their customers and may consider family history and discretionary spending in making loans. Loan officers at megabanks apply impersonal qualification criteria, such as credit scoring, without regard to individual circumstances.

Local Focus: Unlike larger banks that may take deposits in one state and lend in others, Community banks channel their loans to the neighborhoods where their depositors live and work, which helps local businesses and communities thrive.

Lewisburg Bank locations are on Main Street in Lewisburg, on Hopkinsville Street across from Emerson Electric in Russellville, on Armory Drive in Russellville near McDonald’s, and on the Public Square in Adairville.
