The Logan County Tourist & Convention Commission proudly hosted a brand new event at the 2017 Logan County Fair. The Taste of Logan County was held Saturday, June 17, from 2-4 p.m. at the Logan County Extension Cooperative. The Taste was sponsored by Amanda Gossett’s State Farm.

Lost River Creamery brought out a big variety of their cheeses, Webb’s Restaurant brought their pork loin w/apricot sauce, meat loaf and peanut butter pie, Colonial Inn presented varieties of their peg legs, and Haley’s Roost brought catfish, fried green beans and a variety of their pies.

(See the other three in another story.)

It was a wonderful event with lots of good food!  We hope to have it again next year! Logan County Tourism would like to say a special thank you to all of the volunteers, our event sponsor, vendors and especially all those who came out and took part in the food sampling!

Logan County Tourist & Convention Commission consists of board members: Janie Gregory-Chairman, Peter Patel-Vice Chairman, Paula Rainwaters-Treasurer, Laurie Belcher, Pete Lehman, Barry Kennedy and Judy Lyne and Dee Dee Brown-Executive Director.

Gregory and Patel presented a plaque to representatives of each of the participating vendors. They included Pat Harris of Lost River Creamery, Lana Richardson, Jim Polacheck and Lisa Stuart from Webb's Restaurant, Courtney Rainwaters of Colonial Inn, and Honda Haley & Megan Campbell from Haley's Roost.
