Fourth graders from Stevenson Elementary School and all the area schools traveled to the Logan County Extension Office to participate in the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on a recent Thursday Thursday.
The students excitedly tracked from station-to-station for illustrations of the best safety procedures regarding each subject. The safety stations consisted of Electrical, Fire, Tractor/Mower/ATV, Nutrition/Physical Activity, Water, Animal, Gun, Chemical, and 911.
SES 4th grade teachers are Ms. Drew Norwood, Mr. Bryan Rush, and Ms. Kaitlin Yowell. SES Family Resource Coordinator Carol Kees, SES Guidance Counselor Ashley Staggs, Special Ed teacher Ralyn Franklin, parents, grandparents, and volunteers assisted as well.
Under the direction of Tanya Mullen, RJSHS Beta Club members also volunteered their time. Thanks are extended to 4-H Youth Development Agent Carrie Derossett, the Extension Office staff, and so many within our community, as they provided this great event for students.
