The Country Gardens in Fashion Tour Saturday will involve more than seeing pretty flowers.
Although the annual Logan County Garden Club event focuses on floral beauty, much more will be available to those making the tour of five South Logan garden spots. The tour will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
At one of the stops, the home of Robin and Theresa Russell at 385 Oakville Lane will also be the site for a show of spring and summer fashions and the tea. That will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Tour guests will also have the opportunity to make purchases from several vendors of garden-related items. Many of the vendors will be set up at the first stop along the way, the home of Edna and J.R. Sansom at 959 Orndorff Mill Road near Russellville Country Club. That's also the place to purchase tour tickets for those who haven't bought them in advance from either a Garden Club member or at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
Turner Valley Produce and Crafts will be one of those vendors. A part of the Logan & Beyond umbrella which also includes  The Logan Journal, Turner Valley will offer rustic garden furniture, flowers, apple and strawberry breads, jams, strawberries and vegetable plants for sale.
Vendors will also include Stuarts' Nursery, Plainview Farms, The Blessing Basket, artist Nancy Hanley, Coots Nursery and Antiques, Silpada Jewelry and CABI Fashions.
All of the stops are on or near the Orndorff Mill Road (KY 96) which runs parallel to U.S. 431, the Nashville Road. In addition to the Sansom and Russell homes, the gardens are located at Red Oak United Methodist Church, the home of Roger and Lisa Lindsey at 165 Campground Road, and the home of Gina Nichols at 11778 Orndorff Mill Road, which is 5.4 miles from the Campground Road exit on KY 96.
Annie Statton and Margaret Humble are co-chairs of the popular event.
Tickets for the tour are $10. Tickets for the tour, tea and fashion show are $15 in adance or $20 the day of the tour.
