Logan FFA members attend Leadership Camp

On July 9-13, advisors Jay Campbell and Bryan Estes took 33 students to the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center for FFA Camp. Students participated in officer or leadership classes, athletics, and getting closer to their fellow members during chapter hour. D

During the week students got the opportunity to get to know the State FFA officers that were there.

Tuesday, leaders within our team set goals for the upcoming school year to improve the chapter and provide more opportunities to students. Members competed in chapter Waterball and Human Foosball.

Wednesday, our team enjoyed the tradition of taking a hike to the big oak tree. Madeline Reno presented the FFA Creed in front of the 22 chapters present during the night session. Our girls came together to form a volleyball team to compete in Chapter Volleyball.

Thursday, Lindsey Brinkley won the Quiz Bowl contest and will go onto compete at State Fair in August.

Friday morning, multiple students received awards for being a leader in classes, athletic group, and their chapter. Micah Paige, Caitlyn Mosely, Ethan Hudson, and Lindsey Brinkley received an award for being on the winning athletic team. Hannah Price, Ashlyn Tracy, Gracie Wharton, and Micah Paige received Leadership awards for the week. Morgan Gafford and Rachel Taylor received an Outstanding Leadership award for going above and beyond this past week.

Students attending were: Mallory Whitson, Crandal Barrow, Macon Barrow, Carter Spivey, Caitlyn Mosely, Lindsey Brinkley, Madeline Reno, Brooke Johnson, Sydney Claypool, Kailey Humphrey, Ethan Hudson, Kolton Coomer, Mason Haley, Jordan Baer, Gracie Wharton, Abby Canler, Korbin Deberry, Dylan Molton, Morgan Gafford, Jailyn Campbell, Caroline Davenport, Hayley Hallman, Ashlyn Tracy, Micah Paige, Ethan Robey, Briley Robinson, Connor Barnes, Brad Alred, Briar Webb, Zach Milam, Hannah Price, and Rachel Taylor.
