For the first time ever, the Russellville High School Cafeteria Staff hosted a taste-testing on Sept. 27. The staff felt it was important to include students’ input on a reinvigorated breakfast and lunch menu. 

On Thursday, the seniors were called to the cafeteria for a special treat. They sat at a table and listened to the Commodity Processing Group explain the purpose of the taste-testing and the importance of honesty when giving their responses. 

Afterwards, the students sampled the following entrées: Hamburger Patty, Breakfast Chicken Patty, Mexican Pizza, and Pepperoni Pizza. Did your mouth just water?  The soon-to-be adults discussed amongst each other their opinions before circling on a slip of paper their response to the individual entrées. 

Satisfaction plays a huge role in your relationship with food, and now students have a choice to craft a better menu.  Russellville Independent Schools will experience more taste-tests in the coming months, and it’s true to say the Russellville District is working to exemplify excellence that other schools can model.
