Olmstead Rambassadors perform service projects

A group of Olmstead Middle School students gathered recently to present baskets of cookies to Logan County first responders to show appreciation for their service.  The group of eighteen Olmstead Rambassadors decorated the cookies themselves.  The students prepared the baskets and delivered them to Logan County Sheriff’s, Ambulance and Fire departments.

The Olmstead Rambassadors are student leaders chosen by the middle school teachers and the guidance counselor to serve as school and community representatives.  The group performs service projects and learns leadership skills that will benefit them in the future.

To be considered for the program, students are required to complete an application and obtain a recommendation from a teacher.

The group also visited with nursing home residents earlier this year.

Members plan to participate in the upcoming Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Walk and volunteer to clean up a local park later this year.

The Olmstead Rambassadors are sponsored by their guidance counselor, Candi McCullough.

The Olmstead Rambassadors:

Hannah Brown, Sydney Baldwin, Whitney Celsor, Evan Dana, Rachel Dezarn, Connor Gorrell, Kinsey Hayes, Nolan Hightower, Alec Womack, Peyton Daugherty, Mya Woodard, Elana Edler, Molly Stapleton, Laura Brown, Kindy Mitchell, Lily Bibb and Harper Butler
