The Logan County Chamber of Commerce is very proud of our 2018-19 Youth Leadership group! This dynamic group of students from both Russellville and Logan County have shown excellent leadership skills not only in their schools but in the community as well.

Members pictured are, from left, back row: Zachery Yates, Kenyon Kerr, Cole Baker, Sammy Henley, Chaun Cheaney and Bryant Garcia; middle row: Cassidy Farwick, Savannah Hayes, Nevaeh Dearmond, Carley Goodwin, Abigail Hinton, Hannah Alford and Ellie Sandlin; bottom row: Dana Boone, Emma-Grace Gwynette and Taniyah Townsend; not pictured: Autumn Taylor, Dixie Hopkins and Joshua McMurry.

Youth Leadership Logan is a program coordinated by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. This once-a-month all-day class’ learning sessions offer a vast array of county history, community awareness, economic insight, and entrepreneurship experience. It is taught from local businesses and individuals who play a significant role in our county.

Youth Leadership Logan runs concurrently with the school year. Sessions deal with topics such as community activism and awareness, agriculture, tourism, history, entrepreneurship, small business, government and judicial, health and human services, chamber and economic development, environment, etc. Each class is as unique as the businesses and industries that are toured.

Applications are now being accepted for upcoming sophomores for the 2019-20 school year and are located in the high schools main office or with guidance counselors.
