The week of July 8-12, Logan County FFA took 34 members to the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center in Hardinsburg. The center is designed for chapters to strengthen their officer teams, meet members from across the state, and gain new leadership skills.

Members are signed up for two special interest classes that range anywhere from archery, to communication skills. Not only do they take those classes, but they also take a class according to what office they hold. These classes benefit our members in more ways than one and allow them to bring ideas back to our chapter for the coming year.

On top of classes, they are encouraged to participate in two sports a day. There are a variety of sports to choose from, and nearly everyone in our chapter participated in these.

At the end of our week at camp, a few select campers are awarded leadership awards for their outstanding leadership in their classes. This year, Caroline Davenport was recognized in the top 10 percent of the members who attended. We would like to thank her for representing us so well this week!

FFA Camp is no doubt many members’ favorite trip of the year and we are always represented well. This year was no different and we are so proud of our members for representing us well. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their summer to attend this camp and we hope you enjoyed it! We are looking forward to next year already!
