Logan FFA members compete at state fair

During the two-day span of August 15 and 16, 62 of Logan County’s FFA members attended the annual Kentucky State Fair. A total of 25 of these members participated in competitions while up there. These competitions included Livestock judging, Dairy judging, Meat Science, Floriculture, Seed ID, Agronomy, and Nursery and Landscape.

The students that didn’t compete in these events attended because they took an entry of corn, tobacco, or soybeans to be put on display.

Students who competed are as follows:

Livestock Judging- Crandal Barrow, Luke Brown, Price Violette, and Macon Barrow.

Dairy Judging- Jailyn Campbell, Abby Canler, Carter Spivey, and Clacy White.

Meat Science- Gracie Snoddy, Clacy White, Mallory McGee, and Brooke Johnson.

Floriculture- Madelyn Hughes, Chloe Harper, Emma Edler, Gracee Spears.

Seed ID- Ally White

Agronomy- Kaylan Vaughn, Brennon Long, Keaton Slaughter, Alyssa Kennedy

Nursery- Madeline Reno, Macy Parker, Jamasyn Belcher, Lindsey Brinkley
