Quartet of RHS students honored by WKU

The Mahurin Honors College at Western Kentucky University has honored 62 students from nine high schools in the local area for their academic achievements recently.

The following students from Russellville High School were honored for their excellence at the WKU Honors Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at WKU’s Knicely Conference Center: Ben Slack, Robert Skipworth, Brandy West, and My Tran. 

Ben Slack is the son of RHS teacher/Instructional Coach Bethanie Hargett-Slack and Glenn Slack. 

Robert Skipworth is the son of SES teacher Nancy Skipworth and Rodney Skipworth. 

Brandy West is the daughter of Sandy and Billy West. 

My Tran is the daughter of Tramy Vo and Binh Tran.

he Mahurin Honors College at WKU is a leader in honors education for academically talented, creative, and high-achieving students.
