Fourth Graders from Stevenson Elementary School and all the area Logan County schools celebrated Thursday, Sept. 26, as they traveled to the Logan County Extension Office to participate in the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day.

The students excitedly tracked from station-to-station for illustrations of the best safety procedures regarding each subject. The safety stations consisted of Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Tractor/PTO Safety, Mower/ATV Safety, Vaping and Juuling, Water Safety, Gun Safety/Stranger Danger, Sun Safety, Hearing Safety/Hazard House, and 911/First Aid.

SES 4th grade teachers and staff that lead these students were Mr. Bryan Rush, Mrs. Valerie Beard, Ms. Tamyra Coleman, Ms. Mackenzie Devary, Mr. Jarrett Murphy, and Ms. Amanda Wade. SES Family Resource Coordinator Carol Kees, SES Guidance Counselor Ashley Staggs, and Assistant Principal Marlow Hazard attended as well.

Thanks are extended to the Family Resource Youth Services Coordinators from each school, the staff of 4-H Youth Development, the Extension Office staff, and so many within our community as they once again provided this great event for our students.
