RHS Beta places second among 17 regional schools

During the fall semester, the Russellville High School Senior Beta Club traveled to Hillvue Heights in Bowling Green for the annual 3rd District Fall competition. RHS’ Nathan Cates, who is 3rd District Vice President, led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Beta Pledge, and classmate Laura Mullen sang the National Anthem during opening ceremonies.

The RHS Senior Beta Club as a whole received second place overall out of 17 participating schools in the region

Fourteen students placed out of the 40 RHS Senior Beta members who attended. Those who placed are as follows: 

Amariah Christie - 1st Place Creative Writing

Brett Kinser - 3rd Place Humanities Division II

Jennifer Wilkerson - 2nd Place Language Arts Division I

Ethan Paddock - 2nd Place Social Studies Division I

Ben Slack - 1st Place Social Studies Division II

Luke Skipworth - 2nd Place Math Division I

Taylor Gwynette - 2nd Place Agriscience Division I

Chaun Chaney - 3rd Place Agriscience Division II

Rob Skipworth - 2nd Place Science Division II

Candace Baker - 2nd Place Colored Pencil

Graciann Beard - 1st Place Jewelry

Diedre Hester - 2nd Place Fabric Painting

Nathan Cates - 1st Place Woodworking

Addilyn Cundiff - 3rd Place Black & White Photography.
