Russellville Schools Board Room upgraded

The final touches to the newly upgraded Russellville Independent School District’s Central Office Board Room commenced recently, as school Maintenance staff members Corey Link and Greg Whitson placed the completed signs across the top of the pictorial memorabilia wall.

Thanks are extended to many who have contributed their time and talents during this reformation of the Board Room. Shane Hayes, with Gerald Printing, labored much preparing the fabulous wall pictures and posters that were so graciously placed and hung by Kelley Paul for the unveiling. Jeramy Rust performed outstanding work on all the wood cutouts of the Panther Heads and signs. Chris Holloman spent hours beautifully painting these wood cutouts. Thomason's Decorating Center assisted with the newly re-framed prints. Trophies Two Go completed the name plaques placed on the former Superintendents’ and Board members’ picture frames.

Matt Alsup, with I.H.N. Contracting, LLC, was instrumental completing the new flooring, replacing and installing the drop ceiling and lights, and designing and building a new storage closet.

Once again, thanks to the vision of Superintendent Bart Flener and Director of Maintenance Danny Perry, this lovely Board Room refurbishing has come to fruition.

RISD encourages anyone to drop by during office hours (M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., 355 South Summer Street) to see and appreciate this amazing transformation.
