Are you concerned about the health of you and your loved ones? The Barren River Initiative to Get Healthy Together Coalition is providing an opportunity for you to share your opinions and experiences on health care and local health issues.

The Barren River Initiative to Get Healthy Together Coalition is a group of more than 170 local leaders including business leaders, local employers, hospital administrators, and educational leaders throughout the Barren River District. These members have worked to identify priority health issues affecting Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren Counties. Using data from an earlier community health survey, the council has identified obesity, drug abuse and addiction, diabetes, heart disease, and lung cancer as health issues affecting our community that need to be addressed.

The Coalition needs to hear your voice in the conversation about these issues. From now until Feb. 28, 2015, please click on this link to complete a short survey from the Barren River Initiative to Get Healthy Together Coalition.

The survey takes just about five minutes to complete. Since your privacy is important, your individual responses will not be shared.

The overall opinions that you and your neighbors provide in this survey will be compiled into a report by the Barren River District Health Department which will be available for view at www.barrenriverhealth.org in April 2015. This information will be useful in improving local health care services and policies related to the identified priority health issues.

Thanks for your opinions in this survey! Please feel free to forward this link to anyone else who can share their experiences. The more voices that we add to this discussion, then the louder we become.
