It’s that time of year again! The Logan County greenhouses are opening on Saturday, April 11. The greenhouses are run by students with the help of Logan County’s greenhouse teacher, Bryan Estes.

By working in the greenhouses, students learn more about taking care of certain plants. Working in the greenhouses also helps students work with customers and preparing them for real world business situations.

The greenhouse will stay open on Saturday from 9-1 and is open Monday through Friday from 8-3.

In the greenhouse, there are many different plants that you can choose from! We have vegetables, hanging baskets, shade plants, annual plants and perennial plants. All of these plants have been grown by students and will help liven up your house for the spring time.

The students involved with working in the greenhouses enjoy it very much and are very excited about opening it up to the public. One of our FFA officers, Shelby Blythe says, “ I feel that working in the greenhouses not only helps me to be involved with the community, but learn about the different plants and be able to work in a real business-like setting!”

So if you’re looking to buy some beautiful plants for your home this spring then come on down to the greenhouses!

All proceeds for Saturday sales will go to benefit our Logan County FFA alumni scholarships!
