Full week ahead for RHS students as school year nears end

 We  have numerous events planned at RJSHS during the next several days!  I will do my best to keep you as updated as  possible and let you know as soon as possible of changes!

 

Senior Week Activities—We have a few new activities planned for this week and few that we traditionally do!

Monday—Field Day at RHS—9-11:30—in the event of bad weather, which is pretty certain at this point, all  activities will be held inside. 

Tuesday—NO SCHOOL

Wednesday—Seniors travel to Holiday World. Leave RHS at 8 and return  at approximately 6 that evening.  Students will need money for lunch and snacks this day.

Thursday—Seniors travel to Hendersonville for an afternoon of indoor activities. We will return by 2 and money will be needed for lunch. 

Friday—Senior Walk, Graduation Practice, Luncheon—see below for details:

Seniors---8:15—begin senior walk at RHS

8:30—leave RHS for SES

8:40—Arrive at SES for senior walk

9—Leave SES

9:15-10—Graduation Practice in Gym

10-11:30—Guest Speakers

11:30-12:30—Senior Luncheon/Lobby

12:30—Senior Recognition, presentations, senior packets/letters

Saturday—Graduation—begins at 12; all seniors will need to begin arriving at school around 9:30 for pictures.  Mrs. Fynboe has information about the packages and pricing options to share with students this week. We will take a group a photo in the gym at 10:30.  You must there by then to ensure you are included. 

 

We also have several middle school trips scheduled for this week, as well:

Monday—8th graders go to BG for Skating Party/Lunch at Three Springs Park—as the winners of  the Achieve 3000 challenge!

Tuesday—NO SCHOOL

Wednesday—qualified students travel to Hot Rods game in BG.  Lunch will be included with their ticket.  This includes students in grades 6-8 who obtained their 500 points and became HOT ROD ready!

Thursday—8th Grade trip to Holiday World; Leave at 8 a.m. and return around 5 p.m.—students will need to be picked up at this time. Please make arrangements, if you are not available.

Friday—middle school students will begin their final exams.

 

We will also be participating in the district baseball and softball tournaments this week.   Information about each  tournament is listed below:

Softball:

May 18:

Game 1:  5:30-- Logan Co. (Away) vs. Russellville (home)

Game 2: 30 minutes after game 1 Todd Co. (away) vs. Franklin Simpson (Home)

May 19:

Championship Game- 5:30

 

In case of bad weather games dates will be pushed back one day.

 

Baseball:

May 18:

Game 1- 5 Todd Co. (away) vs. Franklin-Simpson (home)

Game 2- 30 minutes after game 1  Russellville (away) vs. Logan Co. (Home)

May 19:

Championship Game- 6

In case of bad weather games will be pushed back one day.

Logan Co HS will host both tournaments this year.

General admission will $5 for all spectators.
