An update on Auditions for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast:

Trying to work around dates at the end of school is challenging this year! We are moving our auditions for the Summer Youth Drama Camp to Saturday, June 6 at Russellville High School in the Band Room, starting in the afternoon at 2 p.m.

At this audition, students who are starting third grade next year through high school seniors are asked to wear comfortable clothing as they demonstrate their dancing ability, a brief song to show their vocal range and expression, and to demonstrate the ability to accept some direction as they are paired with others to read portions of the script from the play.

Those selected for speaking roles will begin rehearsals starting on Monday, June 8 (depending on their part up to six rehearsals). The full Drama Camp will involve the entire cast, including young dancers from 8:30-3 each day, starting on Monday, June 23 through performances on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28.

The cost of the camp will be $25, which includes a souvenir tee shirt, two free tickets for parents, and money toward a neat Cast Party!

For more information, please call Director Larry Vaught at 270-977-5823 and check on more details at Russellville Arts Council on Facebook!

See you on Saturday, June 6!
