Congratulations to Senior Trey Matthews on being selected as this year’s recipient of the 4th Region Policy Board Scholarship. Trey will be recognized during half-time of the boy’s regional championship game on March 8 at WKU. Way to go, Trey!

Russellville Archery

Congratulations to the Russellville Archery team as Coach Jeramy Rust reports that the team shot its best this past weekend at the Lewisburg Tournament. He also reported that 8th grader Kaleb Coursey came in 10th overall in his category. The archery team will be hosting a tournament at RHS this weekend with over 600 students already registered to participate. Coach Rust and the team are in need of more volunteers to help work the gate and assist with the tournament.

RHS Basketball

This past week, RHS hosted the 13th District Tournament. There were several people and groups who assisted in helping with this including those who helped to support the hospitality rooms. We want those individuals, businesses, parents and school groups/clubs to know how much we appreciated the support during this event, including the Russellville Police Department and LC Sheriff’s Office. Unfortunately, some of the games during the tournament didn’t have the outcomes we wanted but we are certainly proud of our teams and coaching staffs for the outstanding seasons they have had. The Panther Basketball team, as the 13th District Runner-ups, will advance to the 4th Region Tournament which will be held at WKU this week. We wish those students the best of luck!
