Dr. Hub has written the following letter to employees of the Logan County School System.

As we mark the beginning of Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, I want to publicly say thank you for everything you do.

It’s only appropriate that the week set aside to appreciate our teachers and staff occurs just a short time before high school graduation. From the time our students start kindergarten until they receive their diplomas, their lives are forever changed by special teachers and staff who inspire them and motivate them. You play a key role in helping our students navigate their journey from childhood to adulthood.

Each year, we hear the stories of students who have succeeded despite seemingly insurmountable odds. Standing behind every one of those stories is a teacher or staff member who was committed to making a difference.

I see the difference you are making first hand when I am visiting schools, spending time in your classroom or walking the hallways, watching you interact with our students. You do not have an easy job, and I know we ask a lot of you every day. The time you put into your profession, to your school and on behalf of our students is appreciated by me, our principals, our families and the entire community.

Be assured that everyone associated with Logan County Schools is grateful for that commitment, and we honor all you do to ensure that our students graduate prepared for college, career and life. When our students walk across that stage later this month with a diploma, they have all of you to thank.

I am privileged to be your superintendent. Thank you for all that you do every day.
