Logan County Chamber has received recognition from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) for Outstanding Special Event (Heritage and Tobacco Festival), Outstanding Member Retention (98 percent) and Outstanding Membership Growth (6.98 percent) among local chambers of similar size. The Excellence Awards were given out during the KCCE Annual Conference last week in Frankfort.

KCCE is a statewide network of professionals dedicated to promoting professional education, ethical standards and efficiency in chamber of commerce management. The board of directors guides the professional development of chamber executives, employees and volunteers across the state. The organization has been serving chamber professionals for 50 years. Visit www.kychamberexecutives.com for additional information.

The Chamber would like to thank all of our wonderful Members, Board of Directors, Ambassadors and Volunteers. Without your support the Awards would have not been possible.

2016 Leadership Logan Graduation

On Monday, May 2 the Chamber celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2016 Leadership Logan. Participants were able to experience Logan County's, rich heritage, tradition and natural beauty. Our Community offers residents an array of services, entertainment, and opportunities for growth and fellowship.

From Logan County's original land mass, 28 counties have been formed in whole or in part; regional, state, and national leaders have emerged; the Great Revival of 1800 took place; a colony of Shakers made their home; colleges were formed; rich soils have resulted in a strong agricultural economy; four incorporated cities have grown in size and diversity, and we are now making our way through the 21st Century.  If you would like to be a participant in the next class, starting in August, please contact the Chamber Office.
