On behalf of our staff and students, I want to thank and recognize Coach Myers, his staff and our Panther Football team on another outstanding season. Even though, we didn’t get the win on Friday night, there is still a lot to proud of and thankful for with our football program this year as they reached the state semifinals for a second year in a row!

Now, let’s get rolling this week with basketball! Our middle school teams have already been in action for a few weeks and this upcoming week will see our girls high school team begin regular play, as well! Additionally, we now have our RHS Swim season and Russellville Archery seasons well under away, as well as both the middle school and high school academic teams! We wish all of our teams and programs the best of luck as we move into these new seasons.

The week of Nov. 28, 2016 has been declared “College Awareness Week” at Russellville Jr./Sr. High School. We encourage all students and staff members to support their favorite schools and teams this week by wearing their favorite fan gear. Monday has already been declared “Big Blue” day at RJSHS with everyone encouraged to wear the UK apparel and gear--This may or may not have a direct tie to the outcome of this year’s Governor’s Cup game!!

We will also be hosting a college fair day this week (Thursday) with many schools and agencies setting up during the day in our gym to showcase their campuses and programs to our junior and senior students. Parents are welcome to attend and may ask for their student (11th or 12th graders only) to join them upon their arrival to our school. This will take place from 8:30-11:30.
