On Thursday, March 2, at Stevenson Elementary, a lot of hard work went toward making Soup with Seuss, an exciting night for our students and families.

Interim Principal Robin Cornelius shared that our parents were thanking her and telling her how much they enjoyed everything. This could not have been successful if we did not work together as a team. Our teachers’ and staff’s dedication and hard work is greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Cassie Reding, Mrs. Michelle McCloughan, and Mrs. Sara Jennings were responsible for planning the events of the night, and Ms. Mary Ann Morris and cafeteria staff prepared the amazing food.

Superintendent Leon Smith stated, “We had a great event at Stevenson Elementary, and I want to echo these comments from Mrs. Cornelius. It was a great night for all!  I also want to express my thanks to all the staff for your hard work in making this a great event for our students and their families.

Dr. Steve Moats stated he heartily concurred with Mrs. Cornelius: “The event was a great success! Teachers were enthusiastic. Students were engaged. Parents were eagerly participating! Thanks to Stevenson’s staff for your willingness to partner with the Russellville READs! project team to produce Soup with Seuss. We were thrilled to help and to provide resources that supported a successful night, especially the funds to pay for the books that were chosen by students that Russellville READs! will order and distribute.”
