The Stevenson Singers Spring Choir concert was held recently under the direction of Elaine Blythe. The theme was centered around the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."

The students displayed promising talent as they shared familiar tunes such as “America, the Beautiful”, “Look Beyond Tomorrow” and Disney related theme songs.

The following Monday, May 15, the annual Russellville Independent Schools Spring Band Concert was held at the deGraffenried Auditorium. Musical selections were performed by the Stevenson Elementary School 5th Grade Beginning Band under the direction of Susan Allpress and the 6th Grade Band, 7th & 8th Grade Band, and RHS Concert Band under the direction of Brian E. Brown.

Mrs. Allpress was presented a lovely bouquet with gratitude for all she has done and in recognition for her retirement.

Superintendent Leon Smith was presented a plaque in recognition of his support and dedication to the Arts programs over the eight years that he has been with Russellville Independent Schools. The band also dedicated the song “25 or 6 to 4” to Mr. Smith, as it is one of his favorites. Superintendent Smith retires at the end of this school year.
