The annual Friends of the Library flower sale will be held at the Logan County Public Library on Friday, May 11. Friends members may purchase early on Thursday, May 10 from 4-6 pm. If you are not a member you may join at that time.

There will be a variety of hanging baskets plus small pots of begonias, gerber daisies, geraniums, as well as other small flowering plants. It is a great opportunity to choose a flowering plant for Mother’s Day or to brighten the day for a grandmother, neighbor, friend, or just to add color to your own life.

The flower pots will be beautifully decorated and ready for giving to that special someone. Hanging baskets will be priced at $13 and the smaller flower pots will range from $3 - $5. Flowering plants provide beauty throughout the spring and summer season. All plants were grown locally in Logan County.

Proceeds from the sale will be used by the group to benefit the library, supporting children and adult programming.

This fall the Friends will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the organization and will sponsor another Community Reads, focusing on the book The Kentucky Shakers by local author Julia Neal.
