It is truly an honor to partner with the Rotary to recognize Russellville Independent Schools’ outstanding teachers – each who help inspire and shape the lives of young students in our schools on a daily basis.

Katherine Cleary has been selected by her peers as the 2018-19 Stevenson's Rotary Teacher of the Year.

Ms. Cleary, a Monroe County native, has 15 ½ years teaching experience with five in the Russellville Independent School District. She teaches third grade at Stevenson Elementary School.

Katherine is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is currently working to become a National Board Certified teacher. Katherine’s son, Brock, is a 2018 Russellville graduate.

She was also previously honored as she received the 2017 Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching Award.

She will be recognized at the annual Rotary dinner to be held in May.

Stevenson Elementary is fortunate to have Ms. Cleary on their team, and we are grateful for her dedication to our students and schools!  A good teacher inspires students, ignites imaginations and instills a love of learning in their students. Thank you, Ms. Cleary, for all you do for our students and school!
