We want to thank you for your support during these first few months of the 2020-21 school year. We know that this year has held challenges for students, staff and families, but we have also seen many things to celebrate. Our students have been excited to be back in the buildings, and we are seeing high quality instruction both in-person and virtually. Our teachers are working tirelessly to meet the needs of students learning both at school and at home.

However, we know there are always areas where we can grow and improve. Over Fall Break, our administrators and teachers will be reflecting on what has gone well during the first two months and also making plans to improve in the future.

We feel that the hybrid schedule has been successful in allowing us to balance the safety needs of our students and staff with our desire to have students in our classrooms. After speaking with families, we know that many of you are planning to travel for Fall Break. We also expect that many will be traveling or spending time with extended families for the holidays in November and December. Due to this increased travel and exposure, we will be extending our current schedule of hybrid learning through Dec. 18. We feel that smaller class sizes have helped us to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while still allowing us to have contact with students.

This announcement lets our community know how we are planning to proceed. We will continue to monitor the ongoing challenges and adjust our plan as needed moving forward. We appreciate your support as we continue to navigate through the unique challenges of this school year. If you have questions, please feel free to call your child’s school.
