On March 1, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce had the distinct pleasure of presenting a Beautification Award to Steve and Anna Wagner for the complete renovation of their home located at 525 E. 2nd Street in Russellville.

Steve and Anna relocated to Russellville in 2015 after purchasing the home while Steve was stationed in Afghanistan. Steve said he received a call from his wife stating “ I found us a house.” Little did they realize at that moment what they were getting into.

Improvements to the home started with new plumbing, electrical and drywall. They also preserved the original home floors to their pristine state from the 1900’s. And the work did not stop there!

Outside, they resodded the yard, planted new trees and bushes, laid a new sidewalk, added a new garage, new siding, and after many coats of paint, transformed the place into their own.

Congratulations on your hard work, Steve and Anna! You’ve done an amazing job. This award is very well deserved!

The mission of the Logan County Beautification Committee is to enhance the visual beauty of Logan County, preserve its historical values, and promote our community for the common good of our residents and businesses.
