Tomorrow our Cougars will host a different Clash of the Cats as they take on the Wildcats of Franklin-Simpson. This will also be "Senior Night" for our six seniors. The senior recognition will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. Immediately after that recognition, we will have a special event that will be in remembrance of the 13 fallen U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan and those tragically lost in the 9-11 attacks of 2001.

Both football teams will be carrying American Flags onto the field and then will face each other. The JROTC will escort 13 folded US flags to the field and also present the 13 flags of our branches of service, our Nation's Colors, and our state. Also coming onto the field will be representatives of our local law enforcement (city and county), firefighters, and EMTs.

The LC band will perform the National Anthem. We will have a few words of remembrance, followed by a moment of silence. There will be a row reserved in the stadium for the 13 American Flags and a firefighter's helmet. These will be placed in that row by the cadets of the Logan County JROTC. We ask those in attendance to please stay standing until those cadets have left the bleachers.

It may have been 20 years, but Logan County and all of America have not forgotten those that lost their lives!
