25th ANNUAL PRIMITIVE CAMPMEETING AND RENDEZVOUS will be October 8-10.Feel free to camp modern or primitive. Details are on the website. Speakers will be announced later.

31st ANNUAL SCHOCHOH CHRISTMAS PARADE AND 12TH ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT SERVICE is scheduled for Dec. 5.

April 5, one of the first campers at our living history event died, Boni Tittle of Dayton, Ohio. She was very involved with ministry and traveled the states performing drama.

The Spring Event, April 23-25, was a lot of fun for our living history crowd even though it was rainy. There were many visitors all throughout the day who came to see the meetinghouse that they have heard about in sermons and papers.

A memorial service was held in honor of Sheridan Gove, who died April 5. He was also one of our campers with his children, Haskell and Torin.

Robert Operia preached on the armor of God and Steven Vann led our communion service. We are very blessed to have such dedicated men of God to officiate at our services.

A History Tidbit: When our country was in the Revolutionary War, we had no chance to win against the superpower Great Britain. General George Washington sent out his few ships to fight and had each one equipped with the Appeal to Heaven flag. Washington said only God could bring victory, and He did.

If you are looking for good sermons and Bible studies, look no further than our own Parson John and Maggie (Frank and Carol Jarboe) on Facebook and YouTube. When they are not on the road traveling from historical site to historical fort, they are filming their sermons at RRMH. Keep these missionaries in your prayers as they travel and share the Word of God.

Maggie (Carol) was also featured in the magazine “270bg”, Issue One, 2021.

Pastor Michael Shultz, Antioch Baptist Church in Lewisburg, met with the Moores and Ruleys to discuss repairs and research on the cemetery. Pastor Shultz is very knowledgeable about such things, and we hope to use his expertise with our cemetery.

Revivals with Chris and Kristina Board were held in June and October 2020, April 2021 and will return Sept 24-Oct 2. Their event is growing. They have had three revivals at RRMH in the past year and each one is larger than the last. In October they used a tent that was donated by the evangelist's grandmother, Barbara Solly. Her husband, Jerry, had traveled around the U.S holding revivals in that tent and now a grandson, Matt Jones, is doing the same. There were many tent campers and people from all over the U.S in attendance.

A homeschool group had an appointment for a field trip, but kept running into conflicts (rain, Covid, etc.). We finally met with them in May and followed up with a sewing day in June so they can have period correct outfits when they camp with us in October. We are so excited to have new campers.

Jeanette Martin from Texas had a 24-hour prayer vigil in June with people from various states. It was a beautiful, peaceful time of prayer. God is on the move and we are seeking Him for another awakening.

Dutch Sheets has a 15-minute devotion every morning on YouTube and he has mentioned RRMH and the great revival. We have had a lot of visitors from everywhere who heard about RRMH from the devotions. Also, Gina Gholston has had twp prophetic dreams about RRMH that has been circulating the internet. This has also brought a lot of attention to the meetinghouse and grounds. We greatly appreciate their devotion to RRMH and their dedication to seeking revival.

Distil” Prayer Assignment. Water was sent from RRMH to Kalispell, Mont. for a March for Jesus Rally and to synergize prayers from Wales, Cane Ridge, RRMH, and Azusa St. God provided water from each place and they were poured together with scriptures into a bucket. Please join your prayers for revival with others so our nation can be healed and souls added to the Kingdom of God. Water from the bucket was sent to RRMH for us to use as we see fit. Pray for God's guidance.

A two-weekend revival was held with Saturate Global, Parker and Jessi Green in July. It was a glorious time with the Lord. Many people were saved, delivered, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit. The RRMH grounds were covered with hundreds of people every night who came from states away as well as local.

Kentucky State Tourism had a photo shoot at RRMH on a tour of various historic sites. Steve and Laura Gove and Dreama Ruley were the models for the photos of RRMH. Thank you to Dee Dee Brown of Logan County Tourism and Kentucky Tourism for including RRMH in their publication.

Whenever you are in Adairville, please stop at the Grapevine. The store owner, Terri Clinard Holliday, has many items to sell for RRMH. The Grapevine is open Wednesday through Friday 10 to 4 and Saturday 10 to 2.

Books you can buy are:

Melanie Meadow's historical fiction The Waking Up. The setting is the revival of 1800 in this area.

Dreama Ruley's Camping Memories. Stories from the first 20 years of the Primitive Campmeeting and Rendezvous (the Fall event).

Glenda Orme Clark's A Table in The Frontier: Pioneers, Protestants & the Presence of God: Amazing Events and Astonishing First-Hand Accounts of the Second Great Awakening in Kentucky and Tennessee. Glenda's book provides a lot of history concerning the 2nd great awakening and keeps the reader engaged.

HOW TO GIVE: You can donate through Amazon Smile, a website operated by Amazon that will allow its customers to enjoy the same benefits as on Amazon.com. When you shop on  smile.amazon.com the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5 percent of your purchase price to a charitable organization of your choice. Please choose Red River Meeting House.

Contributions can also be made to RRMH through Benevity.com. Many companies are part of the American Online Giving Foundation and allow their employees and customers to make contributions through them. See if your company is part of this program and they may also be able to donate matching funds.

Special thanks to all the churches and individuals who support RRMH. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Your funds go a long way with keeping up the grounds, repairs and improvements. Thank you SO much!

We are still raising funds for the picnic pavilion that will be added onto the restrooms. Many groups have picnics here and sheltered tables would be a blessing for them. Please consider donating to the building fund and if you know someone who would give us a good deal on construction, please give us their information.

Restrooms are available on the grounds for rent: $100 deposit and $100 to rent per day for church gatherings, weddings, revivals, etc.

Details are on our website which has been recently updated by Matthew Ruley. Feel free to direct your friends to it for directions, places to stay, and information on upcoming events.

Richard Bunch met two couples at the meetinghouse that were visiting by divine appointment. He suggested that some of you might want to share your story of why you were at RRMH and how God blessed you while there. We would love to hear from you. We can put your story in our next newsletter or post it on our website: http://rrmh.org, with your permission, of course.

We received a beautiful letter from Carolyn Donoho on how God blessed her as she felt led to go to RRMH and He also led seven others at the same time, even from out of state places. They had communion, sang hymns and prayer before traveling to one of the ladies home for lunch. Carolyn and one of the others learned about RRMH and its history during Covid. Many of us find it hard to be thankful about Covid and the shutdown, but here is a reason to be thankful. God is on the move even during times of isolation. Praise His holy name.

President's Corner

In my 25 years as President of the Red River Meetinghouse and Cemetery Association, I have never seen so much interest in RRMH and its history as the birthplace of the 2nd Great Awakening of this country in 1800. Visits, phone calls, emails, Facebook inquiries, planned and spontaneous church services have made for a busy summer. They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place, but God's power moves where there are people seeking Him. The wells of revival are flowing again at RRMH.
