The Recycling Day of Unwanted E-Scrap will be held this Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Logan County Recycling Center, located at 1230 Morgantown Road, Russellville, near the Logan County Animal Shelter.
Knoxville-based Ecyclers have reached an agreement with Logan Fiscal Court to pick up—free of charge—the following items:
Computers (hard drives shredded or destroyed), wires, servers, power backups, PC cards/memory, test equipment, flat LCD TVs and monitors, power transformers, hard drives, computer mouses, keyboards, electronic business equipment, modems, calculators, speakers, stereo systems, modems, cables and wires;
and analog/digital cable boxes, plug and play devices, circuit boards, switches, hubs, routers, printers, scanners, video game systems, DVR recorders, lamps/lighting, laptop batteries, typewriters, cellphones, phones, commercial phone equipment, home entertainment equipment, small electronic household appliances, fax machines and air conditioning units.
According to Solid Waste Coordinator Nathan Cockrill, tube-style televisions and monitors will be accepted at a $5 charge, which is a reduced-price fee because of an agreement with the local USDA office.
