On Saturday human beauty was the focus as the Logan County Fair opened with the Little Mr. & Miss Pageant and the Teen Pageant.

Monday, animal beauty will be on display as five different types of animals will be featured in separate shows. They are Dairy (10 a.m.), Alpaca (1 p.m.), Sheep (3 p.m.), Goat (4 p.m.) and Hog (5 p.m.)

Sandwiched among these is a prime human beauty contest, the Beauty Pageant, which also begins at 5.

More information on some of the livestock shows can be seen in the fliers on this page.

Tuesday’s events on Half Priced Night include a Community Food Drive, the Beef Show, three shows by Robert Ranger, the Russellville Reads Bus, Family Fun Games, a Diaper derby, and—perhaps the most significant event of the entire fair—a Special Needs Pageant.

The fair, which runs through Saturday, takes place on the grounds of the Logan County Cooperative Extension Campus, which includes the Extension Office, the Ag Arena, and the Ag Complex with its pavilion along with the grounds.

Watch The LoJo for more details of events later in the week.
