I hope everyone has had a restful weekend please read below for weekly wrap ups, and upcoming events and happenings this week for RMS.

In the Classroom (Academics)

Mid Terms will be sent home Tuesday, Nov. 19, with each student. If you wish to have your Midterm emailed to you, please email me at Cameron.jackson@russellville.kyschools.us

Veterans Day Program- RMS Veterans day program was a huge success, a big thank you to Cameron Kisselbaugh (2005 RHS Graduate) for speaking and to all of our Veterans.

Ask your child if they have earned a Panther Buck this week. Panther bucks are given out to students that have exceeded our GROW expectations daily in class. GROW stands for: G-Get After it, R-Respect all, O- Own your decisions, W- win with a positive attitude! Rep RVK. On Friday’s students can cash in their Panther Bucks for prizes such as pencils, erasers, small items of candy, lunch with the principal, and other fun items.

It’s Getting Cold! No Child Should Be Cold! With the temperatures dropping it’s getting to be the season for warm clothing. No child should be without warm clothes for the Winter and the RHS and RMS Family Resource Center is here to make sure that doesn’t happen. If you have a child or know of a child in need of warm clothing such as long pants, long sleeve shirts, jackets, or footwear, please do not hesitate to contact RJSHS FRYSC Coordinator Debbie Browder by email at Debbie.Browder@russellville.kyschools.us or you may call her at (270) 726-4799 

At Home (Parent Engagement)

At RMS, all teachers place their Lesson Plans for the week online. This allows you to see exactly what is happening in their classes each day. You may access these plans online by following the following steps:

  • Go to the RMS Website
  • Click on the Staff Directory Tab 
  • Click on “Search” to get a full list of all RMS Faculty
  • Find your child’s teacher’s name
  • On the FAR RIGHT of the screen, click on “VIEW MORE” for that teacher
  • Click on the section, “See what we are doing this week in class,

 

Snow Day Make-up Plans Will Be Announced

The missed day on Nov. 12 due to inclement weather will be addressed by the RISD Board of Ed. in the coming months and make-up plans will be made known well in advance.
